Terms of Service for Remian Diagnostics

Welcome to Remian Diagnostics. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, services, and content (collectively, the "Service") provided by Remian Diagnostics ("we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

1. User Accounts
a. Account Creation: To access most features, including registering for webinars, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process, including your name, email, profession, professional registration number, current job, and position.

b. Account Responsibility: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

c. Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement to use our Service.

2. The Service
Remian Diagnostics provides a platform for continuing professional development (CPD) for medical laboratory professionals. This includes:

a. Live and recorded webinars (both "Free" and "Paid").
b. Informational content via blogs and notices.
c. Live chat and participation during meetings.
d. Tracking of attendance for CPD purposes.

3. Webinar Registration and Payments
a. Registration: All webinars, whether free or paid, require registration. Registering for a webinar constitutes an offer to attend.

b. Paid Webinars: For "Paid" webinars, your registration is only confirmed after successful payment. We use M-Pesa for payment processing. You agree to provide valid payment information. All prices are listed in KES.

c. Free Webinars: For "Free" webinars, your registration is confirmed immediately upon completion of the registration form. You will receive a confirmation email with details.

d. Cancellations and Refunds:
By You: We understand plans can change. Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time of a paid webinar may be eligible for a full refund or credit toward a future webinar. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the start time are non-refundable.

By Us: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any webinar due to unforeseen circumstances. In such an event, all registered participants will be notified and offered the choice of a full refund or a credit for the rescheduled or a future webinar.

4. User Conduct
You agree to use the Service in a professional and respectful manner, consistent with a professional development environment. You will not:

a. Harass, threaten, or abuse other participants or staff.

b. Use the chat feature for spam, solicitation, or any illegal or unethical purpose.

c. Share content that is defamatory, obscene, or discriminatory.

d. Record, reproduce, or redistribute any webinar content, slides, or materials without our explicit written permission.

e. Share your account. Your registration is for you only.

We reserve the right to remove any user from a live meeting and suspend or terminate their account for violating these conduct rules. Please note that chat messages in live meetings are logged and stored.

5. Intellectual Property
All content provided through the Service, including but not limited to webinar presentations, video recordings, blog posts, notices, and our logo, is the exclusive property of Remian Diagnostics and its licensors.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the content for your personal, non-commercial, and professional development purposes only.

6. Attendance and CPD
We track your attendance in live webinars. This information is used to calculate your total time attended (in minutes) and your overall attendance percentage, which may be used for issuing certificates of attendance or for your personal CPD records. While we strive for accuracy, it is your responsibility to verify that your specific professional governing body accepts the CPD points offered.

7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied.

All content provided, including webinars and blog posts, is for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice or a substitute for professional judgment.

8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Remian Diagnostics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (b. any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.

9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, including your professional details and any messages you send us. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of this information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of any changes, such as by posting the new Terms on the site.
